Rev. Ron Geisler appointed as pastor of Grace Church
We Are Excited to Announce the Next Pastor of Grace!
After a long wait, the new pastor of Grace has been appointed. We are pleased to announce that Rev. Ron Geisler will begin serving as pastor effective July 1, 2021.
Rev. Geisler was born in Washington, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Grove City College in 1991, and Asbury Theological Seminary in 1995. He is an elder in the Wester Pennsylvania Conference and has served churches in Kentucky (as a student), Florida and Pennsylvania. He is presently the pastor of Christ UMC in Erie.
Rev. Geisler has served small rural churches, mid-size suburban churches, as well as large congregations. He is please to return to a small city with its close knit environment.
He is a certified discipleship/leadership coach and is a member of the International Coaching Federation. His spiritual gifts are teaching, leading and encouragement, and he brings expertise in disciple training, leadership development and the creation of strategic missional goals. In 2016, he received the Erie-Meadville District "Turtle Award" for "Serving the Kingdom with courage and an entrepreneurial spirit and being willing to stick your neck out for Jesus!"
He is married to Melissa, who is also a UM elder and will be serving Franklin First UMC. Ron and Melissa have two adult sons.
We thank God for Rev. Geisler's appointment and pray for God's blessing as he says goodbye to his current church family and prepares to become part of the family at Grace.
